Last skiing trip

Wednesday we took Ori up to Bretton Woods for what will probably be our last ski trip of the season. There is still snow, but our schedules are booked.

The trip was pretty much perfect lift serve spring skiing — sunny and t-shirt weather with no crouds and not much ice or bare spots. The snow was better in the morning, but since they only had lifts on the east side of the mountain open, the west side got next to no traffic and stayed fun all day. Ori ran out of energy half way through the day. So then Tyson and I did three more blue runs. Something about the telemark technique clicked with both of us. For the first time we were both able to do controlled high speed turns. We had originally planned to do only one more run after Ori got tired, but we were having so much fun and doing the runs fast enough that we ended up skiing three runs before my legs gave out.
