Note: this post was written many years later. The original post mentioned the hike as a footnote. “The day was splendid, and the hike was very nice.” This was Tyson’s second hike up Chocorua and Emilie’s first. We hiked up the popular Piper Trail. Tyson remembers the rock scramble at the top and how pointy the mountain looks even when you stand on top of it. We hiked back down via the Liberty Trail, Hammond Trail, and Weetamoo trail. 8.7 miles according the guidebook.
