The landlady’s landscaping is all in bloom this week. It’s really nice looking.
Monday, Mom was in town for some last minute organization before my parents head off on the AT again. So we had her and my aunt and uncle over for dinner. Somehow I never seem to find time to visit with my aunt and uncle except when my parents are in town despite them living 30 minutes away. Having people over for dinner gave me the impetus to clean up the apartment. There was stuff from the vacation, stuff that had been removed from ski packs, piles of magazines and books, and a variety of odds and ends covered every horizontal surface. Once we picked all that up, the apartment actually looked quite nice.
Then Tuesday morning we drove Mom to the airport at an absurd hour of the morning resulting in getting to work at 5AM.
The way I get to see my aunt & uncle who live a “half-hour” (depending on traffic, could be 1.5 hours) away is that I have dinner parties and invite them and all my friends.
