I took my new kayak out with the NSPN crew this saturday. photos.

The ocean was as flat as a mirror, so I still can not report on how the kayak performs in waves. However, I was almost able to keep up with the rest of the group which I never would have been able to do with my previous boat.

I did manage to put a collection of scrapes in the gel coat hauling the kayak onto the rocks at lunch time.

Sunday we did a lot of catch up. Finally late afternoon we hauled the kayaks down to the local lake for what was supposed to have been rescue and strokes practice. We did a little of that, but then Tyson stole my boat and did rolls practice. Unfortunately once he steals my boat, there’s no way I can catch him again in his boat.
