We attended the PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) nordic downhill early season primer this weekend. Despite the paucity of snow, we figured we really aught to get out skiing once before then, so Tyson, Ted, and I went to Waterville Valley where they had one run and some variations open. My skiing was not nearly as good as the end of last year, but it was miles better than the beginning of last year.
Then this weekend we had the class. I was feeling pretty good about myself until I got sorted into the less good skiers group. My mood never really recovered from that although I did learn a bit more. Both Tyson and I went for the Level 1 instructor certification and got it. So if any of you guys want to start to learn to telemark, I should know enough to teach your first couple of classes.
