Last weekend we went to the PSIA end of year telemark fling. It’s a combination of lessons and just fun held at Sugarbush VT. The spring snow was excellent. (It happened to also be the first real days of spring skiing on Mt Washington unfortunately for us.) We selected ourselves into the “intermediate” group which warmed up on a blue and then proceeded to ski black diamonds and double blacks with trees and moguls and the occasional off trail feature the local folks knew. Tyson and I were totally exhausted by the end. Luckily I heard some of the other folks groaning too, so we were in good company. I got a number of good pointers which I need to practice a lot more to internalize.
