I have been hopefully watching the plot of land where I sprinkled wildflower seeds last fall. Mostly it has just looked like bare dirt. Middle of last month, Tyson spotted a few little green leaves. They were very few and just the first little round leaves so it was impossible to tell if they were my wildflowers. The whole area around the house is loam, part of which came from a pile that was growing lots of greenery last year. Finally this week the wildflower plot got noticeably more green than the rest of the yard. Elsewhere there are a few little green things here and there just like the wildflower plot was to begin with. In the wildflower plot there are now lots of green things, some even an inch tall.
Of course, it could just be that I put the wildflower plot over the septic system leach field.
