Today I went back to the much calmer morning lesson slot. Everything was much easier than Sunday. I got in a couple landings that I would consider decent. I did better on the steep turns, and I managed to usefully pay attention both to the view out the cockpit, and the altitude indicator in the cockpit so I knew how I was doing. The new item of the day was unusual attitudes. There, the instructor puts the airplane in some odd orientation and power setting and you have to fix it. I’m still so-so with stalls. The technical details are fine, but I think I need to fix the shrieking in terror part. Then we came home and I landed in Brookline in only 1000′. Go me.

Ah, but the shrieking in terror part is how you get your passengers to feel comfortable!

I didn’t know you were learning to fly too.
