Snow storm
Emilie Phillips
In case you missed, the north east had a snow storm this weekend. We got 16 inches of snow on our hot tub cover. It was pretty impressive. We also had a lot of trees bent over and cracked by the snow. Listening to the noise last night, I was sure I was going to wake up in the morning to the entire yard flattened. Instead it was just most of the trees with their tops broken off. We also have no power, which is not a problem for heat, but is a problem for flushing the toilet and the solar panels trying to boil over. So, after a brief ski tour around the neighborhood, we spent the morning shoveling, snowblowing, and borrowing a generator from a friend of Tyson’s. Luckily the panels had not yet over-pressurized when we attached the generator. They were only at 257F! We do appear to have internet, so all is not lost.
Even Pittsburgh got an inch of snow falling on Saturday morning, but most of it melted as it hit the ground. The trees were pretty, though.
Great photos, Emilie.
