Skiing Watatic and RV annual done

I have not posted much recently since there are few gaps between working, sleeping, and having my hands full. I have even lowered my standards for cooking. Partially pre-made food is now allowed into the house.

We finally finished the RV annual, so I was hoping to go out and fly it Saturday in the nice weather. Logistics with my instructor did not work out, but at least Tyson gave me a quick ride in the back seat.

Last weekend, we skied the abandoned Watatic ski runs.

The snow partially melted out during the week, followed by a light dusting on top of the crust. This time we had dinner with Tyson’s family afterwards, so we went skiing on some of the horse trails around the extended family’s property. Or at least that was the plan. The horse trails had not been maintained in a while, so we were decoyed off onto logging roads. And eventually we decided the open woods were just as easy to follow as any of the brush filled roads. We did not end up going anywhere, we just kind of wandered around the woods. In fact, if our goal had been to try to maximize the fractal dimentionality of our track, we probably did quite well. The other goal was to stay well in the woods because the wind was howling out in the open. In the woods it was muted enough that the snow crust was louder.
