On Friday, Tyson and I went to a Christmas concert by Nowell Sing We Clear. I have a tape of a performance of theirs in the 70’s. I find the difference between their style now and then a little jarring. The performance was still fun. They play every year in the same locations, so the audience knows them well. For a bunch of the songs, the audience is encouraged to sing along on the chorus. At the end of the evening, the performers, of course, did am encore. Once they were done, the audience started singing their own impromptu encore.

When we exited, it was snowing lightly.

The following day the ground was covered with a thin layer of snow. We headed to South Pack to enjoy the snow covering its rock ledges. The hike is not that long, but that worked out given how late we started. It also was a bit cooler out than we expected, so we all were bundled up. At the top, we had lunch in the shelter and let Isaac try to walk in the snow. He had fun walking around as well as he could all bundled up, but eventually he got cranky. We are not sure whether he was fed up with being bundled up or too cold or too hungry or what. But we hussled down to the car and fixed all three.
