The last couple of weeks we have had warm weather or rain, but yesterday it finally snowed. Today we went skiing at a local historical preserve/conservation area. It is an old town center, Monson, that died and was subsumed by the neighboring towns. There is one house left and a bunch of cellar holes with plaques explaining who lived there. We only skied for an hour and forty five because we started late after snow blowing, chores, and Tyson taking one quick flight to calibrate his compass and check out the ice on the lake. The two old roads going through Monson were easy skiing. The one other trail we took had some annoying water crossings.
