AMC NH Jim Tasse Telemark Clinic

December 20, 2014

Today was the annual NH AMC telemark clinic for ski leaders.  As usual we hired the PSIA instructor Jim Tasse for the course. For the second year, we held it at Loon Mountain. We skied terrain all across the mountain from greens to icy double black diamonds.

It was my first day out on telemark gear for the season and Tyson’s first real day out on skis at all. Despite that both of us did pretty well. I have a whole new list of things to practice. Almost all the technique I worked on last year, I still had today. Tyson is still hoping to go for his PSIA level 2 for telemark. Jim Tasse’s assessment is that his skiing technique is pretty much good enough, but he needs more practice teaching. So much the same state as me for the cross country level 2.

We finished off the day socializing at the bar.
