Over the past few years, I have tried to run family friendly ski trips, but have gotten very little participation. This year Tyson and I decided to double down and run a whole series of family oriented ski trips. That way, even if we only get one family on the first trip, we can convince them to come back on the second and grow a goup.
Our first trip was a success. Us plus two other families toured the Jackson cross country ski area. Five adults and four kids ranging from 11 weeks to 7 years old. We stayed on greens and blues. Before having kids, both families had been AMC regulars so it was a low stress group to lead. We all helped each other out with towing pulks and getting kids in and out of skis. And best of all, Isaac had fun.
