A Family Adventure

in the mountains, ocean, and air

We belong to a bunch of different organizations which we leverage for our fun trips. Here is a brief description of each and recent trips we have done with them.

NH Chapter, Appalachian Mountain Club

AMC Logo

We lead skiing trips for the NH AMC. The ski committee offers a wide variety of trips and classes. We used to rock climb with them before Tyson injured his knee. Very occasionally we join them for a hike or a paddle.

AMC-NH Ski Leader Training

Maine Island Trail Association (MITA)

MITA

The Maine Island Trail Association provides access to its members to private islands in Maine. We use these islands for day kayak trips and multi-day kayak camping trips.

Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA)

PSIA Logo

Professional Ski Instructors of America is a professional organization that seeks to train ski instructors and promote skiing (and snowboarding). We got into it via the NH AMC. They are an official PSIA school, the “Cardigan Mountain School”. Both Tyson and Emilie are certified instructors for telemark, and Emilie also for cross country.

Brookline Airport

Our home base for our airplanes is the Brookline airport. This is a small community airport. We have occasional events at the airport, but most activities are group flights somewhere else.
